Our journey began with the strategic acquisition and merger of two longstanding owner-operated nurseries, bringing together over 45 years of combined nursery management experience. In early 2023, our Hawke's Bay operations faced significant challenges due to Cyclone Gabrielle, one of the most severe storms to hit New Zealand this century. The cyclone caused extensive flooding in the region, impacting local communities and industries. Despite these adversities, Genesis Nurseries has demonstrated resilience and adaptability. We have embraced innovative growing practices and modern nursery techniques to overcome challenges and continue meeting the evolving needs of growers and consumers alike.
